    Retirement Home Outreach Event

Today we went to the Gilman Park Assisted Living Center and presented our team. We were able to explain what FIRST is, and what an FRC team is and does. Our team was also able shoot a couple of balls, and play some videos of last year matches. You can view all the photos from that event here. Below are a few highlights.

    Maker Faire Recap & Photos
We had a lot of fun this weekend at the OMSI Mini Maker Faire! Letting people know about the FIRST program, and showing off last season’s robots. Joining us in the fun was: 1540 Flaming Chickens, 2471 Mean Machine, and 2811 StormBots.

Kids were very excited to catch balls being launched from the teams bots, feeding the balls into the robots, driving a small robot, and pressing buttons on the remote to launch balls.

Scroll below for photos of the faire.

We also let some the kids come up and press the button on our remote that fired our ball
(kids thought that was really cool)

Kids also had a blast driving around a small VEX tank we brought
