The 2017 Steamworks build season is off to a start and we
are ready to conquer the season! FIRST® STEAMWORKSSM is the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition game that takes in an era where
we relied on steam power. In the game, robots collect fuel to build steam
pressure by scoring in goals. Once the robots accumulate enough fuel, they need
to climb the airships in order to catch the airship before it takes off.
This year, we decided to go with a robot
that can collect, hold, and shoot fuel (various field elements) into designated goals. Our team has begun the construction and 3D modeling utilizing Autodesk Inventor, a mechanical design and 3D software.
